Re: PokerStars WSOP packages: NOT GOOD ENOUGH !
I assume you're talking about the "rebuy trick" which is really no big deal and lets people who want to play bigger stacks do so. Everyone can do it, so nobody has an unfair advantage.
As for the WSOP package, every site has different packages for satellites. The beauty of that is you can figure out which one suits your needs best and then play there. I seriously don't understand why you are complaining about this particular package. UB, for example, has both "package" and "tourney entry" satellites. Are you going to yell at them because the tourney entry satellites only pay for the entry fee and now you have to pay your other expenses? Honestly, William, I am very confused here. |

Everyone can do it, so nobody has an unfair advantage. [/ QUOTE ] If not everyone knows about this flaw in the software and it isn't obvious to a casual player, it is unfair to the people who don't know it. If every site put a pop up saying "theres this rebuy trick. here it is: ..." then it wouldn't be unfair. |

I am one of those that don't know what you are talking about and don't feel like reading through the whole thread again to try to figure out what I missed.
What re-buy trick? |

[/ QUOTE ] At the highest stakes tables(this is in fact the suspect part, you can't do this if you play cheaper tables), when you go all-in, the software thinks you have no chips and allows you to rebuy before the outcome of the pot. This way if you win the pot, you are (again suspiciously) allowed to make an extra rebuy. Do this several times (especially if you do it in a HU game with your buddy, at all 3 tables and then just sit around all day (the software allows you to do that as well) until the games starts. Try sitting down at a max. 2000$ buy-in table when somebody else is waiting for you EVERY time you sit down with 14000 and see how funny it is. PS somebody has just read I wouldn't comment anymore on this. I apologize to that somebody (he knows I'm talking about him) I am just too upset.. |

Re: PokerStars WSOP packages: NOT GOOD ENOUGH !
Interesting. Thanks for explaining.
this shouldn't be a difficult bug to fix obviously. In the Stars re-buy tourneys if I have $1510 and then pay the big-blind and now have $1495 it still won't let you re-buy until the hand is over. Even if you have already folded and have less than $1500 it will still say, "You have to have less than $1500 to re-buy" because it only counts your chip-position from the BEGINNING of the hand. Obviously this is not done on their cash-game NL tables. And you're correct...if I had gone to the tables and played there I would not have known about this. I've played occasional low-stakes no-limit on Stars and Party and have never seen anything like this before. On Party NL $25, for example, I'm pretty sure that you can't get away with 'doubling-up' by just pushing all-in and waiting for everyone to fold. It feels VERY strange to be talking about a 'glitch' (dare i say, 'bug?') on the Stars tables that is actually done correctly on the Party tables. |

Re: PokerStars WSOP packages: NOT GOOD ENOUGH !
If you prefer to make your own arrangement with your hotel, then you can choose to take an additional $1000 in cash instead of the hotel room (called the "sponsored player cash option").
Of course if you needed more spending money etc, then praps you should have thought about that prior to playing Rom |

If they have you covered then you just have the same size stack, it's not a tournament. |

First, Party gives 1.7K Second, this is not about what I can or cannot afford, it is about a site that is a giant and is not giving a reasonable deal to players outside the US. And you all seem to forget that you have to dress like monkeys while in Vegas. Nof' said. [/ QUOTE ] You must be from a socialist country. Stu |
