Re: No longer pro. Have any questions?
Since you're not a pro any longer, does this mean we can stop feeling guilty when we use your converter without making a contribution, or should we continue feeling guilty while using it wihtout making a contribution?
Oh, and how much google stock do you get? |

Re: No longer pro. Have any questions?
[ QUOTE ]
So right now I have $400 bucks online. When I have $800, I'll play 1/2. When I have $1600, I'll play 2/4. When I have $2400, I'll play 3/6. When I have $4000, I'll play 5/10. When I have 12k, I'll play 15/30. With bonuses, rakeback, and the possibility of depositing more, I figure I'll be playing 5/10 in May or June. edit: did you at laugh when I wrote about the banning of jews? Cause I thought it was funny. [/ QUOTE ] That seems kind of pointless and -EV in the long run. Why not at least leave 1200 in your account and keep playing 3-6? |

I think I made it clear: I made this useful thing that Joe Tall dislikes that sometimes works. I also make funny and insightful posts that save lives and help heal the wounds of our modern existence. If you have money sitting around and feel like giving it to me, then you will have my gratitude and I will have your money to spend on things. I don't get any google stock for a while. |

Because cashing out my existing bankroll will easily pay for my expenses until my first paycheck comes, and I won't have to play unless I feel like it. It's not like I can't redeposit the money if I feel like it. Expected Value is a poker metric, not a life metric. |

Congrats man. Glad that weight is lifted for you.
The important question - will you be taking your coffee mug to work? I hope so. |

Because I'm not interested in writing fiction, there's not a big market for inside-joke poetry, I don't know where to submit the two short children's books I've written, and I'm not supermotivated to finish the three decent non-fiction book ideas I've ever thought up. |

Scott, I will do my best to remember to bring it. I don't drink coffee, but I do drink water. |

Re: No longer pro. Have any questions?
don't be such a nit. 400 is plenty for 1/2
and yeah, I enjoyed that but I read it after the thread was buried and didn't want to bump it up |

just that I was experiencing burnout on poker. If you haven't played for a living, it can be hard to understand. [/ QUOTE ] Many forget that there is really no downtime or slowtime in this. Your mind is constantly on the ready and working when in a session. Which is very mentally exhausting at times especially when logging long hours. You are always thinking. There's nothing preplanned to do from 3 minutes to the next as you don't know what your next hand is. Im not sure what job compares to it. Im too mentally drained to try and think of one. Many times you have to kind of 'rediscover' it to make it fresh and new again. Congratulations on your success. I think it's fantastic. b |
