man there are some bad choices, but only two are in a class of themselves:
1. mr. burns (especially starring with homer in an episode - i.e. "why must we rely on the gifts God gave us; cheating is a gift man gives himself"; "that island has freedom written all over it" - "sir that's cuba" - "cuba eh?") 2. krusty (with bart or homer - i.e. "yes i was drinking gasoline, MOTHER" - "hold on kid, I've got a tack stuck in my head") honorable mention: gill - i.e. "gill's eating food tonight!"; "(during his audit) doesn't gill get a lick? put in a good word for ol' gill" |

1. Mr. Burns
2. Troy McClure 3. Krusty the Clown Honorable mention to pre-sobriety Barney. I love many more, like Apu, Moe, and Groundskeeper Willy, and some of the best short bits in the show are between Superintendent Chalmers and Principal Skinner, but those characters are all a bit more uneven. Groundskeeper Willy is probably the wildest card in the deck, because he can practically steal a whole show in just a line or two sometimes. He's the one character the show has allowed to stay as maladjusted and bitter as when the show began, so he still has the power to surprise and pack a punch. Ah, the good ole days, back before everyone was nice... |
