Re: QQ flops undercards and get min-checkraised. I hate how I played i
Hey Vulture,
I like Worst's idea of a 20$ bet on the river as a value/blocker bet. Fold to a push, of course. Other than that, this looks pretty good. |

Re: QQ flops undercards and get min-checkraised. I hate how I played i
Thanks for the relies everyone. After I posted this last night and thought through the hand, I felt somewhat better about it. I think probably the biggest mistake on this hand looking back is either the turn or the river. Im either WA/WB on the flop, so no reason to let the guy get away from his hand that easily. On the turn with a two flush on the board, even though it is unlikely he is on a flush draw, I shouldve raised his weak lead hard and try to find out where I stood. Barring that, I think the river was a clear value bet situation. As it were, I was prepared to call a decent sized bet on the river. It also sucks that I didnt have much of a read on the guy at the time (he had just sat down a few hands ago), because about 3 hands later he stacked off the rest of his chips.
Lessons learned: 1) Being raised on a drawless board, OOP, is a very uncomfortable situation. 2) Try to think through what his betting actions mean. Looking back I think there were some clear signs as to what his hand probably was. 3) Passive play isnt always a bad thing, but its a very unnatural feeling for me. You must be the first person in the history of poker to have gotten checkraised while in the small blind.
