Re: Best line with KQ...
[ QUOTE ]
I call the flop and since I'm not as good as tilt and Dave, I raise the turn rather than check-raise from last position Against a random villain who might find a fold on the turn with a weak hand, I'd consider calling the turn and raising the river. Since hero here has seen villain be willing to show down weak hands, I'd rather raise the turn since I'm not confident he'd fire again on the river. [/ QUOTE ] right. i agree. and for the record people, it's already on record that i suck at poker |

Re: Best line with KQ...
HU I like to call the flop, planning to bet/raise the turn. If there were more people in the hand, I'd 3bet.

Re: Best line with KQ...
This is a classic situation where you aren't worreid about him raising for a free card so you can safely call this flop and raise his turn bet. He'll pay you off with almost any pocket pair or a worse Q.

Re: Best line with KQ...
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Well, he is 1st to act, so I can't CR. So, 3 bet the flop and bet/raise the turn? [/ QUOTE ] If we lead the turn and he raises again, I may start to question myself and see monsters under the bed. The weak/tight in me would be screaming to just call and then check/call or bet/call a raise on the river. The proper line however is probably call the flop, raise the turn and bet the river. I am a pansy though and that scares me...someone hold me. [/ QUOTE ] That would have to be a pretty big bed...I'm pretty sure MHIG. My thought was that if I just called the flop, he would check the turn and fold to a bet if he has nothing. I'm hoping he does have a QT, QJ..etc. and we can go to war. [/ QUOTE ] As I said, it's the weak tight in me and the fact that I have been on a downswing lately where I will show a monster and someone else will devour it I have to force myself to get out of that scared thought process though. |
