I wouldn't drink while gambling, if I were you.

Maybe if you're playing slots or BJ or some other mindless game. Still, in a casino I stay away from everything.

I never understood people who drink at the poker tables. Then again, I enjoy taking their money.

Some of us play poker in the casino to relax.... also some of us can get a few beers in our system without turning into complete LAGs. I've had some monster limit sessions where I put down over half a case of Becks. Limit, especially at lower limits like 4/8 thru 6/12 is pretty much automatic.

I probably wouldn't drink as much if I was playing 20/40 or NL however....

I like making uppity people mutter 'that lucky-ass drunk bastard... I can't believe he really had it!'

Hahaha, touche.

I don't mind people who drink, I just would never do it myself.

MGM's new room has some of the best service and drinks I've come across. Pints of Anchor Steam, Newcastle, and other quality beers and they brought my table about 20 Jaegar Bombs on Monday. I'm talking a glass of red bull with seperate shots of Jaegar. Most fun I've had at a table in a long time. Highly recomended for focusing on a good time.

I think the general rule should be:

Don't order a drink that costs more than the Big Bet

"Hello gents, jolly good to see you, I've just returned from a delightful morning of fox hunting. Dealer please do me the favor of a rack of white and ring the chamermaid for a glass of 25 year old Glenmorangie, if you will"

your joking right???

I am going to order the most expensive drink I can think of and just see if they will give it to me. There is no way I am going to limit myself to a $4 drink while playing 2/4, hell that wont even buy a corona in a lot of places now.

yeah, a joke, of the not funny variety.

Just saying that perhaps you're more likely to get the top-shelf if you're not in the smallest game in the room (probably doesn't matter, if they have it they'll serve it)(side question: Is there ever a high-roller only bar?). I just found the OP's two choices to be hilarious. It's like "can I get a hotdog, or perhaps a filet mignon?"
