Prima 5/10 - Blind play

I prefer a check-raise.

I'm trying to think of a hand where BB should raise-fold the turn in this situation against this opponent.

Nothing comes to mind.

1. If my hand is good I'm not folding.

2. If my hand is OK (e.g. KT) then why not just call it down? It's a small pot. I'd rather try to win a bet on the river than make a very risky attempt to dislodge <= 6 outs.

3. If I have a decent semibluff I might raise but I'll still call the 3-bet to draw.

4. If I have nothing then why not fold?

So what are you doing here? What Villain hand are you pushing off this pot with your 3-bet?

Well I had folded a few turn raises before so it is likely that he is raising with Ax or Kx or something (or flush draw that I probably beat). He figures the board has possibly missed me, the pot is too small for me to call with overs and I have shown that I can fold. Of course he can be ahead but I still have a lot of outs, I even have decent outs from J and T. Another reason as said before was not to show weakness by calling and folding the river.

That was the thought. I am still confused about the EV of the play and results oriented as he folded.

And also note that I don't suggest this as a standard play. Maybe my question would be better put: how often you play this.

Like I said before: not that often. IF you think he's doing this w/ an A or a K, then 3 betting is not good since he's more than likely taking it to SD now.

In your case where you haven't been playing too strongly and folding to a lot of turn raises, I think the play is ideal for you. If he has a 2 or a 3 or a 7, then so be it... you check/fold the river UI, no big deal. He's making a play here more often than he has a made hand in my estimation.
