Re: T9o behind 2 bad limpers, poll
I really think you're missing out on this one. How hard can it be postflop? You're last to act in an unraised pot full of donks. Flop a pair and make some money.

Re: T9o behind 2 bad limpers, poll
Just the simple fact that some posters say "easy call" and others say "easy fold" makes it crystal clear to me that this hand isn't an easy anything. It's close.
I'm not giving any indications as to which side of the coin I'm on with this one yet. Those of you that know me should have an idea. |

Re: T9o behind 2 bad limpers, poll
I think it's a lot closer than others who have posted in this thread seem to think. SB and BB aren't particularly passive (PFR of 10 and 18 respectively), meaning it will get raised sometimes and 9To isn't a great hand to have in a 5 way raised pot. Also, UTG has PFR of 0 so he's not raising any of the hands that dominate yours (there's a good amount).

Re: T9o behind 2 bad limpers, poll
Guys with a pfr of 10 typically do very little raising from the SB in spots like this.

Can someone please give me some reasons behind your logic? [/ QUOTE ] What kind of reasons do you need? You have the button, you are getting immediate odds of 3.5:1, your hand is connected and has a non-trivial amount of high card value, it's not excessively likely to be raised behind you, and even if it were, you'd have position on the aggressor post flop (including great relative position if you discover you wish to raise the field for value). If you don't limp this, you must have pfr ~= vpip. |

[/ QUOTE ] Are you saying that out of the thousands of limping opportunities, this is the ONLY ONE you would choose to make your VPIP higher than your PFR?? What about overlimps with suited connectors, low to mid pairs, completes from the SB and defenses from the BB? Maybe you overlooked those 4 small factors. Edit: Oh yeah, slowplays too....make that 5 small factors. |

Re: T9o behind 2 bad limpers, poll
It's a fold. Being a better player than your opponents only goes so far. There are inherent deficiencies with T9o that great post-flop play can't make up for: succeptibility to domination and a small chance of making a big hand. But don't take my word for it:

[ QUOTE ] Super easy limp. Anything else is plain wrong imo. [/ QUOTE ] elaborate... pretty standard raise imo. too good a hand not to [/ QUOTE ] This is weak-tight advice. Cap every street. You have position, so you should push your edge. |
