Well, you have to figure what the chances are that someone will fold. Once you've figured that, are you getting enough from the pot to cover the extra rake?
For example, with 3 players in the hand, and the pot at $34 with $2 already being raked. You give it a 10% chance for someone to fold. You'll lose 33 cents by raising if all call, and gain almost $6 if he folds. So your equity would be 60 cents, and you'll lose 33 cents by raising if called. I think a raise is +EV here. However, if you feel your opponents understand enough to not fold, and you give the chance 0%... well it's real easy... just call. |
