Re: 10/20 big pot

raise the turn. [/ QUOTE ] My first thought as well. GOod players don't check three bet and face the field like this on dry boards with sets. I don't see a reasonable two pair or over pair. I would think he would donk the flop with a set given his position. |

raise the turn. [/ QUOTE ] How come? Fold to a 3-bet? Are we taking a free showdown, or betting again if checked to? |

[/ QUOTE ] yeah, cause if we are folding to a three bet, then we can get to a showdown for the same price. the only thing I don't like is the PF raise with all of the limpers ahead of you. raising seems a bit too thin of an edge to push with AJo, other then that, everything looks cool |

yeah, cause if we are folding to a three bet, then we can get to a showdown for the same price. [/ QUOTE ] This isnt about getting to showdown for the same price. This is about getting max value with a good hand. If we get 3bet we are ahead virtually never against this player. However if we are just called we are ahead a large portion of the time, so we can bet the river for value again. Since UTG is a huge donk we get more bets out of him too. Getting to showdown for cheap could cost you 4 big bets. 4 big bets is a lot. PF raise is really easy. Your on the button, you have a very big hand against weak players. Raise. -Mike |

Re: 10/20 big pot
Raising for free showdown on this board makes no sense. What hand is he just calling with on the turn that you cant beat. He either three bets hands that beat you, or just calls (or maybe folds, but not likely in this big of a pot) with hands that you beat.
