Re: Motorcycles
I'm a lightweight and I started on a used 2000 CB750. It's manageable but I have laid it down. I like it because I can do most of the maintenance myself.
Oh yeah, and jeans aren't worth a [censored] once you start sliding across that asphalt. Get a good, fullface helmet. |

Re: Motorcycles
[ QUOTE ]
Once I'm out of LA, I'm buying one. [/ QUOTE ] You'd have to pay me a huge sum of money to ride a motorcycle in SoCal I-5 traffic. We're talkin one hundred BILLION dollars. Did anyone invent a smiley for pinky-finger-to-corner-of-mouth yet? Lane-splitting is legal in Cali. That still blows me away. I'm probably biased. I recently had a friend die on his 1000RR. That's probably gonna stop me from buying one. But if I owned one, I'd be riding it as far away from California as possible |

Re: Motorcycles
incidentally I went with my dad to a guy who repairs motorcycles and builds custom Triumphs. Here's one he's finishing up (it looks much better in person..)

Re: Motorcycles
Bikes are pretty damn sweet.
But always be aware, car drivers are pretty much zombied out, so always, always assume they haven't seen ya. I used to have one of these until some dufus on the wrong side of the road drove into me head on. It was like sitting on a rocket when you opened her up. |
