Re: ($22) baby flush out of bb.. how is my line?
I'm pretty sure folding to a push on the flop here in a 22 is a leak. It is almost always a strong hand, but seldom a made flush. A set or top pair with Ac or Kc pushes this flop way too often for you to lay down your baby flush.

Re: ($22) baby flush out of bb.. how is my line?
In a shallow stack game like this, I think you just always have to assume your flush is good. If there is a higher flush, so be it. but you should be willing to get all your chips in with a flush if 3 are on the board and 2 in your hand. If 4 on the board, then folding is much more an option.
Harrington says essentially the same, I think |

But I still like my line in the 22s specifically, based on my experience. I just don't think many 22 players are going to come over the top of my recommended line without the flush (and the odds against it don't matter, it's either there or it isn't.) Sure, they might call, in which case I admit there's still some poker to be played. In the higher buy-ins, I'm more willing to go broke with this hand. |

Re: ($22) baby flush out of bb.. how is my line?
raise more on the flop, as other have said. bet more on the turn.
the river is the interesting decision. i think there's too good a chance that a hand like Qx will check behind and you'll miss out on value if you check. the reason to check is to let the naked A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] bluff at you and to avoid going broke against a bigger flush or FH. i'd bet 225 and if he pushes, vomit and call. btw, a big reason you don't want to fold this hand on the flop is some people's love of semi-bluffing a-i with the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] here. |

Re: ($22) baby flush out of bb.. how is my line?
If someone else flops a flush wouldn't they call and go for a check raise on the turn? If I am re-raised here I push and let him draw on his A-high flush draw as that is most likely what you are up against. As said earlier the chance of a double flush flop is pretty low. In fact I may push the flop and hope an over pair or top pair puts me on a bluff. See previous post about overbetting in the 55's..
