I only play live 3-4 times a year so I was wondering if there was a rule against posting the original bet and then going back to get your raise together if you announce "I raise" prior to to taking any action/making any motion. I never really thought that this was a problem, but when 3 floors get involved it got my attention. There was no argument over forward motion as LAG did clearly announce his intention before making a move. |

As far as I know once you state a raise you can throw out the call, think about how much you want to raise, then go back and make your raise in one motion without ever stating the amount.
