I had a tough time getting past the mere completion of the SB when there's only one limper in the hand, too. I would have raised to chase the BB and get it heads-up.
really? I probably wouldn't have even played A9 here. Is this wrong? |

It was incredibly surprising that your aces up didn't take the pot. I'm guessing you felt pretty sure that you were winning when he called at the end.

I probably would have bet out all the way and not went for the c/r on the flop. My thinking would be that if my hand is going to win I have the only A out there. If I have the only A then somone with a K may not bet.
Obviously the c/r worked out great because it gave you some more info on the flop. He didn't hit you again when it got HU. Now I haven't read the results yet but my guess is you won the pot. I'm thinkin the guy cold calling may be a passive player that has KJ, or K9 or something. I can't imagine him just calling you down like that with a just a pair. |
