Here's my confession, I've actually gone to the casino by myself, only once. Felt weird at first, but also felt good not to have someone you came with waiting for you to finish.

I actually prefer going to play by myself? Do i have serious gamlbing issues?

[/ QUOTE ]

I prefer my day playing cards not be subjected to unforeseen early departure because my buddy went broke. Its happened and I leave because I feel bad. I still go with friends but when I go by myself I know I can leave/change rooms/eat etc. whenever I want. Going by yourself is not a big deal and I actually think it is worse to sit in front of your computer for 15 hours than it is to sit at a table full of people, so whatever.

OK, so now a follow up question, do you go by yourself of with buddies?
The reason i left at 2am is cuz the buddy i was with plays blackjack only so he was done pretty fast, whereas, i was playing 2/4 limit which is alot slower paced than BJ.

i almost always go by myself.

going to the casino with other people is such a fuking hassle. i use to go a lot with other people back then when i wasn't really that serious with my game. heres what usually happened: we drive for 2 hours, actually its more like i drive for 2 hours. they buy in for some ridiculiously small amount then inevitablly bust out in like 20 mins. then they'll want to leave. its such a pain. i feel like i have to fuking babysit.

its so much better to go by yourself. i go when i want. i play for as long as i want. and i leave when i want. total freedom.

I've looped the clock (24-hours of straight play) a couple of times. But now I limit myself to 8-10 hours per session. With most falling in the 4-5 hour range.

But a few years ago, I got serious about my game and started tracking my game by the hour as I played. It's pretty simple. You just make a note every hour of where you are. I usually make the note when I take a bathroom break. That's when I noticed I was -EV once I hit 11 hours. At 18-hours or more, I'd have wild swings in my stack that I could only attribute to fatigue.

31 hrs.

Its would have been about 28 hrs but I went on a serious rush at an awesome table full of bad players. I can't leave when things are going so great.

My sleep schedule was messed up for days though.

Got up from a Bellagio N/L game at 6:30a.m. The brush signed my ratign card and after seeing I signed at 10:00 said "Wow, 8.5 hours straight huh?" I said "No. That was the other 10:00 o'clock"

I usually average 16-18 hours a crack though. When in Vegas, I'll play that long, take 3-5 hours off for a nap, shower and meal (sometimes eating at the table) then hit it again.

I went down to the Borgata a few months ago with 2 friends. We all got our seats around 1am, Around 10am I got up to get some food and stretch my legs. at 11am my one friend busted out while playing 3-6 and said "I'm gonna walk around, maybe hit the bar (yeah, 11am)"

My friend and I played through and never kept track of time, our friend comes back and says "guys, I went to take a nap in my car figured you would show up there eventually, it's dark out now"

So 14 hours is my longest stretch. We could have played through the night again but we felt we should give our friend a break.

This is precisely my Mirage schedule coming up in mid-November before I head out to California for my convention (and hopefully an appearance at Live at the Bike in one of the non-whale games).
