Re: Best way to get out of a fight and still feel good about yourself?
make vague and forceful references to calling your uncle Paulie. Mention dental records. Say all of this about 3 inches from his face, stare for a second or two, and say "or you could walk away right now"

Best way to get out of a fight and still feel good about yourself? [/ QUOTE ] Running releases endorphins, which make you feel good. But kicking someone's ass, then going for a run makes you feel even better. |

Looking mean enough that they don't want to fight you in the first place.

just start crying... then mention something about your dad being an alcoholic... it will probably be just as awkward for them.
it will also be awkward enough for your friends that they will just naturally never speak of it again. |

Stand firm, look your opponent right in the eye, draw back a fist for a roundhouse punch...
then kick him in the inside of the knee as hard as you can. |

Re: Best way to get out of a fight and still feel good about yourself?
I never did say how I made them laugh in both fights - thought I'd share.
1. I just started giggling when he got threatening, and laughed louder and louder the scarier he tried to be. He wasn't as big as me (though he was with friends, and I was alone at this point), but I just found him ridiculous. Anyway, his mates started laughing to, and then so did he 2. I was walking between two parties, and some bird I fancied was sort of walking the same way. I lost her for a bit, and started shouting 'Samantha, oh Samantha!' This was in the middle of a dodgy estate (US translation - projects?), and some huge black guy appeared, looked down at me (I'm 6'2") and said in a very threatening way, "We got her round here with us! What you gonna do about it?" I thought about it, and said, "You haven't kissed her on the mouth, have you, cos I just came in it!" He cracked up. |

Re: Best way to get out of a fight and still feel good about yourself?
I got punched in the mouth once in the front of my entire class. I laughed my ass off, even though it hurt, to make him feel like an absolute chump. It made him look like a moron in front of everyone. I said "calm down and take a seat." he did. I had a fat lip for a day but his knuckles were pretty f'd up.

[ QUOTE ] Outside a bar one night in college, I pissed off a big dude and he did the whole "right here right now punk" routine. I calmly told him to hold on for a second, as I sat down and took off my shoes. As I stood, he said "WTF is with the shoes?" I told him that it was illegal for me to fight with shoes on. He just turned and walked away... [/ QUOTE ] I'm pretty sure he was laughing. [/ QUOTE ] That was the point, duh! |

Easiest way to get out of a fight is to tell the guy you're HIV+ and you don't care if he beats you to a bloody pulp. If he still wants to fight, make sure you bite him.
