If I had to narrow it to one, it would probably be Hot Wheels. The kind with the orange track, not that stuff they have nowadays. Powered by gravity. Given a huge basement, scrap lumber, and a hot summer day, many an hour was spent in the cool basement, setting up awesome race tracks and having raceoffs between all the cars.

Legos were definitely the coolest. Too bad they turned into pre-manufactured crap. That was the charm of legos, turning them into whatever you wanted, not being forced to build a lame pirate ship by putting together hull part 1 and hull part 2.
