Re: Another home game controversy..
This is considering there are still bets to be made, they are all in. If they are positive that the card they flipped was supposed to be the burn, then it is the burn and the original river stays. Player A should have one, there is no misdeal here.

cool. interesting to see there's a total concensus. We actually ended up splitting the pot after a long discussion, because we couldnt come to an agreement. [/ QUOTE ] If you're going to regularly host a home game, you must: 1. Make everyone acknowledge that "The House" will settle all disagreements and the House's decision is final. I handle this with a small (1/4 sheet) card that I created using MS Word that has the chip color/denominations on one side, and a partial list of my home's rules. One of the rules is "All decisions made by the House are final". Another is "Robert's Rules of Poker apply to this event and a copy is available for review". Another that I recommend is "buy playing, you agree to these rules". 2. Have a set of rules published and available for such an occurance. A set can be printed from homepokertourney.com. 3. As "the House", know the rules in advance. Players enjoy the experience when the House is firm, but fair. More people will quit attending when they think they've been screwed over. When something comes up, state the rule and hand it to them for their own review. dandy |
