Re: Can\'t install Cryptos w/o Admin rights - help!
[ QUOTE ]
You're not going to be able to install without admin rights. One thing I've heard of is a bootable XP Pre-Install Environment CD that you might be able to create with the Cryptos already installed. When you want to play, you'd just put the CD in, reboot and go. I'll look into this and get back to you. [/ QUOTE ] I think I'll just look for some friends to bribe to borrow their laptop for 1 day a month and just do a marathon session. (At least for the cryptos, then work on non-cryptos in the labs.) I don't have any other PC access so it may just be overly-complicated. |

Re: Can\'t install Cryptos w/o Admin rights - help!
Well, found the friend, borrowed the laptop. The programs downloaded and installed fine, but couldn't connect. Might be something messed up with his firewall access and restrictions, but even after disabling the firewall and closing it it didn't work, so it might be the connection we have access to (and I can't really screw around on his machine). Took the installed folders and moved them onto a portable drive, tried them on my original lab machine, but got "Registry entries missing, cannot run" or something of that sort. Back to square one if anyone has ideas. This +EV is taunting me, between casinos and poker monthlies...
