Me? No. But if I know that Hero here is raising with 2 cards on a steal my reraise is probably going to be folded to anyway.

He is only calling with real hands right? So why not make it look like I'm crazy and just trying to resteal and whoops I happen to have an over pair.

Granted this may be a little far fetched but maybe the BB train of thought.

If your playing to win this tourney than I think you call here and don't think twice about it. You have an edge to almost any two cards the villain has, PLUS you feel he is primed to make a move on you. If he has an overpair or sucks out on you with overcards so be it.

You make a good point, but if you re-raise an amount that gives villian decent odds to see a flop, nearly all villians will call.

Also, I think Occam's Razor applies here as well. Your scenario is plausible, but less likely.

Yup. I have come to the conclusion that I am wrong here and in see how instantly calling is right the vast majority of the time.

Any 2 cards is the most likely holding.

es Pat had the right read and Yes the pusher was nuts and yes the guy did eventually bust pushing ATx into AQs. But the point is sometime they actually have the goods.

This is true, but that is all taken care of in the math. As its a game of incomplete information, all we can do is attribute a likely range, and see how our hand does against that range.

Some times they have AA.... other times they have 9/2 os.. but the key is that if we get into that position 1000 times.. we will run into dominating positions far more then dominated positions.

Worrying about the fact that they *might* have it this time is deeply results orientated.

One thing I will agree with you, is that if the wild person has AA... the all in move is the best way to disguise it.

OK, cheers guys. At the time I was convinced I made the right call, it was the barrage of criticism I got afterwards that made me unsure. Having read all your responses I'm convinced its a good call, maybe a decent portion of the time I bust here but gotta gamble for the stack if I'm trying to win the tournament. FWIW villain rolled over 23o and my hand held up......

You took steps to set him up both on the table and in the comment box and now question what to do when you get the action that you wanted? I think you should have had the call any button checked before he got the chance to respond to your raise. You can't beat him into the pot but you should try.

Your detractors at the table aren't privey to your plans or the manipulation that you had underway so.......until they have walked a mile in your shoes....

Haven't read any of the comments or the results but I am sure that you won or we wouldn't be discussing it. With as much flack as you caught, I'm guessing that you rivered a T vs AA or KK. Anxious to see.
