the problem with asking others about their win rates is that
1. you will get answers with sample size problems 2. only the highest win rates will respond |

3. your game selection has an enormous impact on your WR
4. how well you play is going to have an enormous impact. in other words, the best players are going to make a hell of a lot more than average winning players alright, no more poker for 2 weeks, I'm going to tahiti. --turnipmonster |

52 weeks, 30 hrs = 1560 hours on the year. 4tables, ~240 hands /hr, = 374400 hands. lets say you're a consistant 6ptbb/100 winner, thats 12 BBs (24$) 100 hands, so ~90k.
Winning mre then 6ptbb/100 is very reasonable, that is a conservative guess, but 90k+ is definately doable. |

No, actually Im at 8.5PTBBs/100 hands or a true win rate of 17BB/100 hands.

4tables, ~240 hands /hr, = 374400 hands [/ QUOTE ] That hands per hour estimate might be a bit high depending on the length of the sessions. When I have little 1.5 - 3 hour sessions I average about 182 hands per hour 4-tabling (especially at the start of the session you are playing less than 4 tables), and only when I play longer sessions does that average jump up to 200+, assuming you aren't on any very slow tables. If you want to be on the safe side and estimate on the low end, I'd pump in 185 hands per hour for your calculation, unless your sessions are consistently going to be 3 hours or more. Then I'd go with 200 as a conservative estimate. |

Why are you the only one who is consistenly anal about this? Everyone knows what 8.5/100 means. Everyone refers to it this way. [/ QUOTE ] I agree that everyone usually can figure out whether you're in big blind or big bet units, but he is correct to use big blinds per 100. This is NL/PL, and a "big bet" is really meaningless in this game. There is no such thing as it. I mean, who really cares, but technically a NL player has no reason to ever speak of a "big bet" unless he's talking about overbetting a pot. I could tell you that my baseball team scored "2 three pointers to the other team's slam dunk and a foul shot", and you would understand that the score was 6 - 3, but those are basketball units, not baseball units. Why use limit units to describe NL/PL rates? Well, because of PT... that's why. |
