[ QUOTE ]
Your PFR% seems a bit low for 2/4 but other than that...looks good. Small enough sample that your PFR might be just on. [/ QUOTE ] Those stats are for all my games, going all the way back to my PS .05/.10 days. Looking at just my 2/4 stats, my VP$IP is 17.26, my PFR is 8.04% and my Tot-A is 1.86. Again, a small sample, but hopefully a bit better. |

Re: MicroLimit Personal Progress...All Posters Post
Those look on track. I'm very close to those.
Yeah when I look at my .5/1 stats compared and then the games moving up, my PFR% goes up as I think it should, cause you are having less people see the flop, and more hands become raiseable compared to better to limp in smaller nano limit games. |

My status
I finally dedicated myself to limit play (played small stakes SNG/NL) in April. I worked my way up on Party and am up a decent amount. Unfortunately, I like electronics and took out over half my winnings.
My bankroll is about $2,100 so I could play 3/6, but I am currently 8-tabling 2/4. I need to cash-out another $600 at the end of the month so I will stay put until I am at about $2,500 or so. I am winning at about 1.5 BB/100 ($25/hr) doing this. If I could win at that rate at 3/6, I would be at $40/hr which would be pretty nice, and I feel I can improve on the 1.5 BB/100. I am starting to build up my PokerTracker DB and develop reads as well as improve my play. I am in a bit of a dilemna as to what I would like to accomplish over the next year. I think I can beat the 3/6 game (8-tabling, of course!) for 2.5BB/100 (eventually) which is roughly $60/hour. That would be a nice $2,500 per month or so (plus another $450 in rake rebates) which is obviously nothing to complain about, especially considering I wouldn't have to step foot in a game higher than 3/6 to do it. Of course, there is the allure of the 15/30 games. I just don't know if I have the skill or aggression level to play them. My stats are VP$IP of about 12.5% and PFR of 6.4%. I am aggressive post-flop (around 2.00 on all streets) and am winning with just about every hand I routinely play (less small sample sizes and some bad beats with AJs) but just dont play enough hands, and feel like I'd get crushed in the bigger games. So - I think my goal for the rest of 2004 is to get to (and stay at) 3/6 and beat it for 2.5 BB/100. I'll have to report here each month and see if I can get to that this year. |

Re: MicroLimit Personal Progress...All Posters Post
Not so impressed with my results...
First month I was playing with more money than I had: 2/4: 657 hands, +2.06BB/100 3/6: 1,299 hands, -2.70BB/100 5/10: 2,311 hands, +4.14BB/100 My 5/10 was actually around 8BB/100 but I hit a major downswing after spending some of the money on poker books, PT, and tourneys. I never had a very large bankroll to begin with either, so I moved down to micros. Since then - $1/2: 431 hands, +1.94BB/100 .5/1: 1509 hands, -2.21BB/100 So all in all not the best results I could imagine. I'm still trying to adjust and my game is steadily improving (wish I could say the same about my luck). |

Re: My status
How manys hands you at for 2/4 and 3/6?
I wonder if your 8 tabling is affecting your BB/100 rate (which seems low for someone who feels pretty confident). Also your VP$IP is low. Your PFR is low for both levels. That's also why I wonder by sample size. You talk like you have a decent sized one though. So I consider both these stats to be too low. |

Re: MicroLimit Personal Progress...All Posters Post
Might as well make an entry here...
I'm primarily a 1-, 2-, and 3-table NL SNG player, along with dabbling in larger NL MTTs and $25NL. I feel like I'm a winning player at the various low buy-in SNGs and at $25, but don't have the records/sample size to support this. Been playing since Jan 2004 on Party and was a big loser until I started lurking on 2+2. I'm still down a fair amount overall, but like said, I'm fairly sure that I'm playing break-even or slightly profitable poker over the last two months at SNGs. I've forbidden myself to plop any more money into Party and haven't had a problem over the last two-three months. After finally building up enough of a roll on the tourneys, I decided to peel off $200 to start up an Empire account with a rake-back in order to bone up on limit. So September is the first month in my limit plunge. My goal is to be making $20/hr by May 2005. Whatever that entails - while I'm starting out by getting comfortable multitabling at .50/1, I don't have a goal of multi-tabling 2/4, 3/6, or 5/10 when/if I get there. Obviously to make my goal, I'll have to at least 2-table and probably 3- or 4-table. But the main goal is to be making $20/hr by May 2005. Current Stats @ .50/1 (Started Sept. 03) ---------------------------------------- Hands: 1846 VP$IP: 17.17% VP$ISB 42.49% PFR: 9.1% Att. to Steal Blinds: 25% Won $ @ SD: 60.24% Aggression Factor: .89PF, 2.99F, 3.80T, 2.17R, 1.81 Total BB/100: 11.86 BB/HR (true hours): 21.92 Obviously I'm crushing the .50/1 game at an unsustainable rate. I plan on 4-tabling the .50/1 at Party/Empire for 20-25k hands. Before moving up, I also must have 500 BB for 1/2, and my BB/100 must be 2.5+ at .50/1. Are my goals realistic? I'm basically considering poker my part-time job, as well as an extra class this semester (going to study TOP, SSH, and eventually HEFAP very hard on, like, a daily basis]. - UW |
