Re: Better Poker In Less Than 30 Seconds (Part 1)
Fold, even though AK is 25% more likely, you are a much bigger dog to AA than you are a favorite vs AK.
Edit: After doing the math, a call is actuall best. Oh well. |

Re: Better Poker In Less Than 30 Seconds (Part 1)
combinations of AA=6 combinations of AK when you have two kings=8 combinations of KK when you have KK=1 total combinations=15
combinations where you should call=9 9/15=.6 you have a 60% chance that your call is a good call. 8/16=.5 you have a 50% chance that you have him dominated. 7/16=.4 you have a 40% chance that you are dominated. pot odds = 101.5/99 or 1.025/1 You have the correct odds to call... slightly. There is a lot more math to be done to prove it but i believe the call is correct to make in a cash game situation. That is as long as you have a sufficient BR so that losing will not cause you any problems. I did not come up with all those exact numbers in the 30 seconds but i saw quickly that it would work that way making the call favorable. |

Re: Better Poker In Less Than 30 Seconds (Part 1)
Fold. Six ways to make AA, eight ways to make AK, one way to make KK. Giant dog, solid favorite, chop it up. Dog outweighs the favorite.
That's a thirty second response without reading the thread. |

[ QUOTE ] Edit: After doing the math, a call is actuall best. Oh well. [/ QUOTE ] ??? [/ QUOTE ] Kk = 65.9 vs AKs (2 combs) KK = 69.9 vs AKo (6 combs) KK = 18.1 vs AA (6 combs) 6 timex you win 18.1% of the $200 pot which = $217.2 6 times you win 69.9% of the $200 pot which = $838.8 2 times you win 65.9% of the $200 pot which = $263.6 $217.2 + $838.8 + $263.6 = $1319.6 You have to pay $1400 to see these pots, so, I must have fudged the math earlier, a fold is correct. I find it funny that my instinct was right, but my math was wrong. |

Re: Better Poker In Less Than 30 Seconds (Part 1)
fold but offhand forgetting AK vs KK since 8 of those if that's 4.5:1 or better call.
