Re: Favorite Lines at the poker table, part 2
[ QUOTE ]
Home game, pot limit Omaha, bet-call on the river. Player A flips his hand and shows a full-house. Player B pauses and in his Roy Scheider impression simply says "You're gonna need a bigger boat." I love that movie... ELSapo [/ QUOTE ] sweet |

Re: Favorite Lines at the poker table, part 2
didn't read part 1 but my favorite poker line i hear all the time is "u just keep doin' that buddy" (or some variation thereof)
i try to put myself in situations where people will say that to me but it's hard to catch runner-runner all the time mike |

Re: Favorite Lines at the poker table, part 2
I've posted this before, but I'll repeat it since it's still my favorite line heard at a poker table.
4-8 at the Grand, Tunica. College kid, that I believe must have been hyped up on steroids, is on tilt. Fumes awhile. Makes an ass of himself. He gets check-raised by an Asian man, and goes nuts. He threatens the man. The floor is called. He's asked to leave the table. As he's leaving, he bumps into a different fellow at the end of the table. A quiet, stern,farmer-looking older man. When he bumps this farmer-fellow, he says something smart/threatening to him. The farmer-fellow stands up, face-to-face, and tells the steroid punk, "Boy, don't make me kill again." The steroid punk left immediately. |

Re: Favorite Lines at the poker table, part 2
That was my first time there and they only had the NL game. If your talking about the 2-4 HOS (which I think is the onyl one they mention), I haven't heard of it being run, but I would really like to play in it if they ever do. Maybe we can get some interest going for it.

Re: Favorite Lines at the poker table, part 2
Commerce NL $100 ring, showing down quad 5s:
"I've got two pair, 5s and 5s." Another line that I love that I got from a thread I read here a few months ago is for when you have the 2nd nuts: "I've got the taint." "What's the taint?" "It's just below the nuts." Whoever came up with "taint" is a genius. |

Re: Favorite Lines at the poker table, part 2
FWIW the NL game at BPC was even softer than the one at NYPC. I don't like to play nl much but this game was an exception.
Hope no one minds that I've gotten off the topic of the tread. |
