Piggs Peak NL .25-.50
My first lap around so no reads yet-UTG raises to $2 folded to me in cutoff w/ KK--I reraise to $6 Button and blinds both folds--he just calls the raise My stack is $19 his is $35 my plan is to bet the flop hard if an ace doesn't appear Flop= J 7 3 with two spades--he checks to me and I go all in which is about the size of the pot--he thinks for a long time--types in A Q of spades and finally calls of course an ace comes on the turn and he takes it down my question is this: should I have reraised all in pre flop? just smooth called the raise and go all in on the flop if an ace doesn't appear? Smooth call preflop and bet the size of the pot on the flop? What is the best way to get the money in this type of situation? Thanks |

Kings are worth a little more than what an all-in preflop will get you in this spot, unless you think they'll call with a worse hand.

He folds preflop because aces beat kings.
Didn't you know that? AA > KK. And if you know an ace will come on the turn, and you have KK on the flop, you must fold. |

you must mean happy he called preflop, right? his opponent's call on the flop was correct, getting 2 to 1 on a little worse than even money shot.

Yes, and the flop call was correct of course. But, there's no other play for hero.
