Two card combos
I am having an argument with a friend about the possible Two card combinations there are in Holdem.... I say 2314 and he says 2670 ???? Could some verify this with a quick explanation if possible??? Thank YOu

You can get dealt any two cards of the top of the deck 1,326 ways.

First card is one in 52, next card is one in 51. Times both of those together, you get 2,652. Since the cards can come in either order, divide that number by 2 and you get 1,326.

1326 is correct if you qualify suits.
Only 169 strategically different hands: 13 pairs, 78 suited combinations (13x12), and 78 unsuited combinations. |
