Default The eBay chips are down

If you ask me, there's not as big a deal being made about the awful chips you can buy on eBay as there should be. eBay chips (the 11.5g 'suited' or 'dice' type) are NOT the same as identical-looking chips you can buy full-price from an established company.

Full-price chips have a non-slip surface. eBay chips are so slippy it's like rubbing two pebbles together. Your chips fly all over the place if you as much as nudge a stack, and if you try to riffle then be prepared to go hunting under the card table for your chips. Not cool.

And eBay chips have loads of imperfections too. Obviously I'm not accusing ALL eBay traders of supplying the second-rate variety ... but I'm sure it's to the advantage of anyone out there selling good chips to let their customers know about it.

Although to be honest (and this is just a personal opinion), even the quality 'suited' and 'dice' chips are not my favourite chips for home games. I love the Unicorn chips from Chipco. Okay so they're quite plain and don't weigh 11.5g (as if that was something to be proud about) but that's only cos they don't have a metal insert hidden inside them. They're made of a quality ceramic composite and they 'clack' nicely rather than 'clink'.

No, I don't work for Chipco, although if they want to send me some free chips for this blatent plug then that's fine by me!

I'm glad somebody has decided to take a stand against the subpar myriad of "REAL CLAY CASINO QUALITY CHIPS!" being peddled rapidly throughout all of ebay. I ordered a set of these thinking the price was too good to beat, well... I got totally screwed on that deal. The chips are terrible without a doubt. Reputable manufacturers should really make a harder effort to put their product at the top where it deserves to be. I'm sick of the imported, mass produced garbage chips that plague the poker world. I certainly got what I paid for, but good point indeed.

Poker Paradise is one of these scammers, who is affiliated with Pokernstuff.com. I got ripped off!

What's that supposed to mean? I'd like to know how my opinions on chips deserve such a seemingly hostile response! Whoever these spammers are, suspicion and paranoia about them is probably perpetuating the very misinformation I was trying to expose.
