Default AQo from the button

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

No real reads. Mostly just loose passive.

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks.

I'm getting killed with AQo. I'm trying to raise it when I can shorten the field and just limping it when it looks like I've got 5 or 6 to the flop. So, that said, do you always raise this on the button? Until recently I would.

Flop: (6 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB bets, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB folds.

Turn: (5.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets, MP2 folds, CO folds, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

River: (11.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets, Hero raises, BB folds, UTG+1 3-bets, Hero calls.

3 bet too much?

All feedback appreciated.

Thanks.

-Mike

Final Pot: 17.50 BB
Main Pot: 17.50 BB, between Hero and UTG+1. > Pot won by UTG+1 (17.50 BB).

Results in white below:
UTG+1 shows Kd Td (full house, tens full of kings).
Hero shows As Qh (straight, ace high).
Outcome: UTG+1 wins 17.50 BB.

I nearly always raise AQo. You've got a great hand, you've got position and you'd rather not give the blinds a free play. I can see the argument for limping/folding with AJo in LP after a bunch of limpers, but AQo is too strong I think.

Given the way you played it pre-flop, your post-flop play is fine. Looks like you lost to JT here? Bad break on the river, if so.

Raise pre-flop, a must.

Raise preflop. I haven't read the rest yet.

EDIT: The rest of the hand was perfect IMO. You were very unlucky.
