Re: Quick Trip Report A.C
The usual buy-in for a limit game is 25 bb's. so for $2-4 it would be $100. For $4-8 it would be $200. The only thing affecting how tight or loose you play while playing limit is the condition of the table. Assuming the players are equal at 2-4 and 4-8, you should play equally as tight at both. The blinds won't make a difference.

Re: Quick Trip Report A.C
Out of curiosity, what did you buy-in for at the 4/8 game? Seems to me that if you have a proper buy-in, the blinds shouldn't affect you at this limit
I bought in for 25bb or $200. I know its true that in terms of chips there is no difference if they have $1.00 or $10.00 printed on them. 25bb is 25bb. I just have to adjust to paying around 35.00 in blinds to play 50 hands as opposed to paying 3.00 to see 50 hands in PL. Thanks for the input! |

Re: Quick Trip Report A.C
John,
You heard correct. They have plans to expand the poker room to the main floor. The same design as the Taj Mahal. The poker room on one side of the casino, and the pit on the other side. They will place slot machines in between. |

Homer,
Indeed. The Borgata has plans of becoming the premier card room in Atlantic City. The Taj Mahal now has that honor. I think in the future the Rounders wannabes will play at the continue to play at the Taj and the WPT faithful will play at the Borgata. |

Re: Quick Trip Report A.C
The Borgata is just so much nicer. AC is gross too. Last time I was down, we didn't leave the Borgata except to leave the city which is just the way I like it. We'll be down again for President's weekend (and Valentine's day) and most likely will do exactly the same. Valet friday night, get the car after checking out. Their poker rate is fair also and the rooms are great.

Zack,
Whenever I describe the Borgata I tell people its unlike any casino in Atlantic City. It has a Vegas feel. ...and the rooms are great I like the showers in the bathrooms . Perhaps we can have another get together that weekend. I will see you then. |

Re: Quick Trip Report A.C
I fully agree, Borgata is by far my favorite of the east coast card rooms. If they moved it up a floor to get more walk-ins, I can't imagine what a sweet setup you guys will have.
I'll have to find an excuse to swing by once that's done |
