Opinions Wanted on Hollywood in Bossier Compared to Lake Charles
I was transferred from New Orleans to Houston this summer and am missing real casino poker !! I feel the need for a road trip.
What are the opinions on the Lake Charles and Coushatta poker games/rooms as compared to the Hollywood at Bossier City? Game selection, limits, players, action etc. Are weekends best for games? What about this 3-6-12-12 game? Does it get wild? or does it play similiar to 1-4-8-8? I sure miss being able to play at Harrahs and Biloxi !! |

Re: Opinions Wanted on Hollywood in Bossier Compared to Lake Charles
I've been to Isle of Capri for one weekend, and it was NUTS. There were plenty of games, about 8 3/6/12 games, 4 10/20 games, and 2 20/40 games. I think it might have been an unusually busy weekend with the tournament. There was also 1-5 stud.
I didn't play 20/40, but the lower limits were plain nuts. 9-10 to the flop (depending if I folded). From what I heard, 20/40 even had 6-7 to the flop regularly. Raising and more raising. Rivers and more rivers! I'm sure this game is proifitable to anyone who plays well in loose games. I started out strong, but couldn't catch a hand. But I was about 2 pots away from walking away even. The room is nice now that is on its own floor. Harrahs plans on opening a room next week, so I'd be interested in seeing what happens there. I can't wait to go back, too bad it is 6 hours each way! |

The Hollywood is actually on the Shreveport side of the river. The 4/8 is very soft, but there's usually a several hour waiting list.
