75/150 River bluff #1
Absolute Poker. Opponent has been tight so far, but he's on a shortish ($2k) stack. He has yet to play back at me.
I raise A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] button, SB folds, BB calls. Flop J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Check, bet, call. Turn 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Check, check. River K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Bet, raise. 2BB bluff in a tiny pot. What's to like? |

Looks like you'll take this down a lot of the time. I'm pretty sure that every pair hand folds except for K9. Anything bigger than that will call/raise you, but isn't in the hand all that often. I think you're OK.

Eh I don't like this one much. He could easily have a king and its just tough to tell whether a jack might make a crying call.
I would tend to fire another bullet on this turn thinking that its a draw heavy board and I don't wanna give a free card. What made you check? |

What made you check? [/ QUOTE ] I think I'm getting CR'ed on the turn here huge amount, and while I would lay down to the CR, I'd know that I'd be getting pushed off the best hand here a small amount. JTxhh gives a lot of hands nice draws, and it's certainly feasible that he'll use the call and CR turn line with a nice draw. Yes, I like being able to bet here, but I have no problem with checking behind and calling river bets as a secondary default if I feel the need for it. |
