river call- automatic?
been a terrible day... anyway here's the hand NL 200
Hero Qd9d on button MP(not much info, played for awhile havent seen anything too wild) min raises to $4, CO+1 calls, CO calls, hero calls, SB calls, BB calls (Flop KcQs2h), MP bets $2, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds (Turn Qh) MP bets $4, CO calls, Hero raises to $16, SB folds, MP reraises to $28, CO folds, Hero calls, River 9h, MP pushes for $160, I have him covered, Hero??? the min bets made me hesitant to call his all in, but he could be open minraising 22, KQ or KK, I dunno if call here is standard |

Re: river call- automatic?
I think so. He may easily have a hand like AQ, 22, maybe QJ. KK and QQ and KQ are also in his range but I dont think he would bet just 2 dollars on the flop with these hands, I assume he would want to start building a decent pot. That 2 dollars flop bet looks like he caught a piece of the flop but he doesn't like his hand that much and wants to see another card. Queen he obviously likes on the turn. I really feel AQ here.

Re: river call- automatic?
would he be scared of flush on river tho? When I look back @ it, I think he is hoping I hit the flush

Re: river call- automatic?
yeah but any Q will probably have him push here as well..
i would say you calling his push is a winning decision more than a losing. |

Re: river call- automatic?
Hes offering you about 2:1. I think you have to call especially at NL200.

Re: river call- automatic?
I expect to see KK here a lot. It's a completely terrible way to play it but that's what you see most of the time with this betting pattern. It's a big laydown to make on the river when you catch your boat, but you could have saved yourself the trouble by folding to his reraise on the turn... you are never ahead there.
