Final Pot: 8.70 BB my question is, what do you guys think of it when MP open raises, comes to you in CO or Button, and you just cold call with a medium-low pair (99-55) in a situation where you would usually raise, then raise a good number of flops when he continuation bets? also assume villian is your typical 18/9/1.25 |

Re: couple hands from tonight @ 5/10
I think hand 1 is fine versus an unknown. Nice hand.
Hand 2... isn't 33 a fold here preflop? |

Re: couple hands from tonight @ 5/10
To answer your question, I believe those medium-low pair hands are supposed to be a fold against a TAG... Although I have 3 bet occasionally with 99.
Dunno what to say about if you're just trying to make position plays though... that is, not sure if its documented on these threads that this play is worthwhile at all. |

Re: couple hands from tonight @ 5/10
The AA hand looks fine.
The 33 hand is confusing to me. Preflop: I would fold preflop, unless everyone behind me was both very loose and very passive. Flop I would also just fold on this flop. You are either marginally ahead or way way behind, so this is a very bad situation for you. The K will often hit the PFR, and if it didn't, he will often have a high pocket pair. If you think that you can get him to fold a pocket pair lower than kings, then continuing is a nice option. Once you get 3 bet on the flop, you should just fold. Villain is OOP, so its hard to see him playing a lot of hands that you beat like this. If he has AJ or AQ, without 2 diamonds, then he's a very strange player and you should have noticed this by now. Reads would be nice. |

I just pray he didn't flop a set Hand 2. Fold preflop, fold the flop, fold the turn. Other than that, I like it. 33 doesn't play well HU vs. an open raiser. I guess if you feel you must play it, 3 betting is better than calling, at least you might get it HU with position. |
