I'm not sure what genre they are, but all that really matters to me was they used to be "good" and now are "very bad"

Weezer went from geek rock to "suck". This coming from a big Weezer fan (I hate being that guy who says "I like the old stuf...." but it's true).

Weezer is most definitely not emo.
