I think you are using this quote out of context. And, secondly there is no context for the raiser in the game or how the game was playing etc.

There are times when I make calls on the river too that should be beat based on the action. But I do think people need to make the folds more often than they think. Believe me if I think someone beleives they can get away with this on me, I can do things to defend myself at later times to put them in their place.

It's the one off bets...a bb per an hour...that takes you from winner to loser or big winner to small winner. Just some advice from someone who has done consistently well live and online. I love the players who can't fold two pair on the river...that's how I make most of my money.

Furthermore, I don't think two pair should be characterized as a "big" hand. You were the aggressor and at a minimum he should be putting you on three jacks. And, should not think you are willing to fold that on the river, mainly because the pot is too big.
