Top pair, small flush
Full table, $2-4, I was on the rail waiting for my game.
I watched this hand occur while standing behind Hero's shoulder. I thought it was quite a show watching Hero at work. Four players preflop for one bet. Hero is in BB and checks with Ks6d. Flop comes 9c,Qd,Kd. Hero bets out and is called by the four players. Turn is Td for a board of 9c,Qd,Kd,Td. Hero again bets out. I think Hero must be wearing his "No Fear" underwear tonight. This time player to his left raises and remaining three players fold to Hero who calls the raise. Heads up to the river. River is the Ad. Hero is visibly shaken now, holding a flush with his 6d. Hero checks, remaining player bets, and Hero takes a pause to start thinking(?). Hero raises and raiser calls! Hero turns over his flush and raiser has a straight with no diamond! I thought the hand was very amusing. Mistakes were many by at least Hero and his remaining contestant for the pot. Anyone willing to take Hero's place in this hand? How about picking the play apart? |
