Re: River Bluff
[ QUOTE ]
So you think he has an 8 sometimes here and our 9 is good? Otherwise, I only get 9 spades, 3 non-[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] tens, and 3 Q's is 15, but the J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], and Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] should be discounted a bit. Seems to be an easy check/call. Maybe I'm missing something, though. [/ QUOTE ] I am retarded...I put us in the 12-13 out range (9+3 != 15). I agree that it's an easy check/call, even if we have a few more outs. |

Re: River Bluff
*whew*
I thought there was some grand concept for additional outs in short-handed play that I was missing. Good to know I'm not crazy. Well, I am, but not in that way. |

Re: River Bluff
I dont consider this a bluff, I consider it a donation, the 6c totally isnt a scare card...and hes calling about 95% of the time...
Even at 5/10 you shouldnt be bluffing much, people are still calling stations when they are this deep in the pot. Concentrate on hitting, and maximizing bets against this guys who appears to be loose weak, not bluffing. Save your bluffs for rag flops against rocks cdl |

Re: River Bluff
it's grunch-style
I think the only thing you get out of this bet is him calling when he has a marginal hand that beats you, and not raising. He will not be folding TP here often enough to make this profitable (i.e. 1 in 6). In short I think it sucks. I think the flop call is closish. You have a gutshot (4), bdfd (1.50) and an unclean overcard (1.5). This gives us 7 outs for about 6:1. I think the turn is a great time to semi-bluff the scarecard with a c/r. You could knockout MP's overcards, and maybe get a free showdown UI. |
