Hand that bust me
This happened 5 min. ago in a tournament on St Kitts. Buy in 200$, but we got some good players here (including Kathy Liebert).
Blinds 100/200. I am in SB with a chipstack of 4300. 'Badgirl' Xuyen Pham is lowstacked and just lost a big pot with Aj vs. AK. She goes all-in for 1100 chips under the gun. A good Danish player (mr. X) calls. He is pretty tight but not a rock. He has got around 8000 chips. He and I have had a few clashes, and i have got a feleling he would like to take me out. I wake up with AQ. I decide that badgirl could have just about anything and Mr. X most likely has a middle pair or perhaps AJ, QK s. But i have to admit there is also the possibility that he could have a monster and just hoping for some idiot to come over the top. Well I am the idiot and go all-in. BB comes over the top (Damn!) and Mr. X folds. I lose to BB with AK. Badgirl had 57s and Mr X. flashed 88. Would you have gone all-in like I did, knowing that a) the BB was yet to act b) Mr. X could have a monster (not that likely) c) Mr. X could decide to call me down with a middle pair |
