Sure, not sure it applies but there is a post by el diablo where i think he has qq on a paired board and he suggests checking the flop/betting the turn. i cant find the link so if you want to read up you'll have to search for it. i think it applies here somewhat, because it keeps the pot in check.

That depends on flop texture. If you have QQ, and the board is JJ4r...or you have AA and the board is QQ2r, checking behind might be prudent. OP's board is coordinated for broadways and so betting the flop is best, IMO.

i dont understand why anyone has a problem with his line.

maybe a larger turn bet, but i like it.

my question is, what would you have done if you didnt boat up on the turn?

Lead again folding to a raise is my default line here. This depends strongly on player type however.

I agree. Do not check the turn. This is a sign of weakness and any decent player will immediately attack.

Why is this a bad thing? Hero's hand can beat a bluff and he as position. By checking the turn with the intention of calling a reasonable river bet, hero may sometimes induce a worse hand to bet...

I don't see how this line will cost hero much (if any) more if he is behind, as the pot will also be kept smaller.

i don't disagree with the flop bet, just asking if another line is better? i personally would check the flop and call the turn and river if bet to and bet both if checked to.

this is unimproved.
