4 left in 10+1 on party, villian is to my left and we both have about 850, other two at about 3000 and 2300 or so, folded to me, i push in SB with AQ, villian calls from BB and shows KJ of clubs. right play?
edit: took out results |

was your AQ suited ?
i think that this was not a right play there... maybe rais 3 - 4 times bb and then push on flop providing only small cards come. than you give him a chance to fold , or if u see a 10 or j or k , i would consider folding. |

If the blinds were atleast 50/100 pushing was good play.

no you need AK to push here.

the blinds were at least that iirc, a 3x raise would be be at least half my stack.
i'm tired of this "no you need AK" garbage, playing that tight doesn't do anything but get blinded out half the time. |

well, fine, i guess i'm not in the mood. i'm following the guide from here about the 10+1's, but if i don't get much in terms of cards (i.e. big pocket pairs) i don't see how to get ITM with it

In this situation, considering the size of your stack and his, and the blinds, not only is it an obvious push, but you want him calling with KJs. He was the one who made the mistake, not you, although if the blinds were 150/300 or something, his call isn't that bad I suppose.

everyone here is making fun of you. You need to do some serious studying if there is even .01% part of you that hesitates here. So I'm sick of this "You need AQ" crap. Im almost positve this would be a push with just about any ace and probably more.
