If I win several big pots, people tend to need to rebuy so I sell them their chips back for cash. [/ QUOTE ] The casino allows you to sell your chips to other players if you're not cashing out? |

Re: Are you all crazy - reds make it go so much faster
if it's a game with an even denomination...i would agree
5/10 10/20 20/40 etc. but in the games with uneven denominations that makes no sense...really. One denomination makes the game go slow as hell. Would you play 8/16 with one color? |

Re: Do you get $1 chips for a 3/6 game at a casino?
I almost always just buy a rack of white. I usually have more cash in my pocket to reload if I get light. At the cardroom I play at nearly everyone just buys in with white. If someone does dump a few reds on the table it is funny watching people play with them. They almost want to get rid of their reds and will make stupid calls just so they can get their 1 or 2 red chips into the pot.

[/ QUOTE ] In the insterests of saving time and table space, some casinos permit players to buy chips from other players on the table. However the cash is now 'in play' and is required to stay on the table as part of the seller's stack. |

Would you play 8/16 with one color? [/ QUOTE ] Yep, my regular game is 8-16 with only $2 chips (and the occasional $1 chip from the rake being taken out). It doesn't really slow the game down - people just get used to cutting out stacks of 4 chips. |

I only buy in for $100 at games 5-10 and lower. I am prepared to re-buy if necessary. Never-ever needed to commit more that $200. [/ QUOTE ] You only buy in for 10BB at 5-10? |

Just about all poker games either 3 chip 6 chip or 4 chips 8 chip betting. |

[/ QUOTE ] At Canterbury, Wynn and most of the civilized world, the 8/16 is played with $2 chips (although the ones at Wynn are butt-ugly). At Bellagio, it was played with red and blue. The dealers had to make change for players constantly. Slowed the game down, and generally sucked. |

Limit hold'em should be played with only one color of chip. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. White is the only chip needed for any limit game. In all seriousness, 3/6 at Turning Stone has a mix of red and white and it su-u-ucks. NT |
