What hand is your main money maker?
What hand is your bread and butter, your main money making hand? Continuation Betting, TPGK, TPTK, two pair, set, straight, flush?
In tournaments the main chip winner is top pair usually, and sometimes a set. So how much do you value top pair in a cash game? Do you normally try to make a fair amount of money with it? call raises with it? Or do you try to play a small pot with it? |

Some people only read the title of a thread apparantly....
I think the set and the stright are the great moneymakers. People are to afraid for the flush, especially since the 4 color suit. |

Duh, everyone knows the best hand is TJ, because it makes the most straights.

Re: What hand is your main money maker?
Its by far and away AA for every winning player. AA is just a monster which crushes every other hand.
Over 24k hands at NL100 AA 7bb/100 88 3.48bb/100 AJs 3.41bb/100 KK 3.32bb/100 Here you see big hands tending towards the top. Pocket pairs have crazy varience because over a small sample size the bst ones will be ones that have hit sets and stacked people. Hense the position of 88 above KK. Biggest losers K9s -1.22 A7s -1.08 Q8s -1.01 Poor hands which lose me money but they mostly come from steals/bluffs gone wrong. I think cutting them out would reduce my action significantly. More importantly, position Button 0.19bb/100 CO 0.11bb/100 MP 0.7bb/100 Also I just noticed I'm getting killed in the small blind, there are a couple of bad beats in there but it looks nasty without them. What kind of sb VPIP are people aiming at? |

Re: What hand is your main money maker?
sets and full houses are my primary money makers according to PT. then comes flushes and straights. Apparantly I'm losing alot of money with one pairs but I'm guessing thats all those times when I go to showdown with a pair and not really expecting to win.
