I would just be curious as to why you're playing Party Blackjack...

I don't understand all these blackjack posts. Why are 2+2ers playing blackjack online, a -EV game? And I see people saying things like, "I was up $500/$5000", which means people aren't just messing around, they are betting large amounts.

If some are up $500 or $5000, then others are down the same amount.

Yeah, it's kind of funny. People around here are usually quite shrewd with blackjack and only play for a good bonus. But Party adds a little thingy on the side of the table and everyone loses their cool...

those brilliant bastards!

You're actually quite wrong. Most (if not all) 2+2ers play BJ to clear casino bonuses, something that's very +EV.

The blackjack posts that I'm talking about are all regarding partypoker's new blackjack, which cannot be used to clear bonuses. Of course playing blackjack to clear a bonus would be +EV, I've done it myself in the past.

Because many people who play a lot of poker are basically compulsive gamblers.

I was going to give the casino bonus answer, but this one is probably more correct.
