NL 5/10....Can I Win Less With Kings?
I think/know better players make their money on squeezing more money out of these hands:
Villian is donk, but passive, and can definitely fold. He's 42/1.5/1.2 and it's 8 handed. Villian calls in EP. Folded to me in SB. I make it 40. Villain calls. FLOP [board cards 9D,9S,3C ] with 95 in pot. I bet 45, Villian mini-raises. I call. Turn is Qs with 275 in pot. I check. He bets 100. I call. River is JC. 475 in pot. I check, he checks. I win. Ok, this was poorly played. If i just bet more on flop and call his (bigger) miniraise, then check/call his (bigger) turn bet, am i there, or does this need to be much bigger pot? Value bet on river? |

pot flop, he probably won't minraise, check turn, pot river.

Re: NL 5/10....Can I Win Less With Kings?
I used to be a "bet pot button" guy. Lately I've been seeing a lot of players really manipulate bet size against donks to get maximum value. If this donk has AQ or whatever, and i pot it, he folds; If I underbet, maybe he gives it a shot. When I call his mini-raise, he senses weakness, and puts me on a missed AK. He then fires one more barrel for 100 before shutting down with his AQ or underpair???
