Garbage hands. All of em.
If your hand has a lot of 5-9 cards, then its probobly not worth playing. |

Ex. QQ98 or JJ29 or 5656 NO.
Change them to QQJK or JJQT or I can't even help you with 5656. These are playable in unraised multiway pots. Hopefully two high cards will hit and you'll be able to scoop. If two low cards hit and you make a set then you have to adjust. |

I am new to 0/8 and had some questions about starting hands preflop. Should I play a hand with 2 big cards (not KK/AA) and no low draw. Ex. QQ98 or JJ29. I would think that these type of holds rely heavily on their ability to flop trips, which does happen too often making these hands a fold. Is this correct? Also what about hands like 5656 rainbow. Is this a poor hand too? What if it was double suited? Thanks AC [/ QUOTE ] There is a great website out there on playing O8. I can't remember the link tho. --greg |

Big pocket pairs are a huge leak in O8 with no possible lows.
A low is going to get there the majority of the time and you don't want to be freerolled by someone just playing a low. |

If you never played a hand with a 7, 8, or 9 in it you would be better off IMO...(unless it's AA2x or A2Kx or something equally juicy like 3 to a wheel )
