Re: Your pick for most overrated NL hand?
Hi Frank,
PT says anything with an 8 in it (except 88) is overrated by me. I also don't do well with JTs or JTo. However, hands with 8s in them, like many of the hands noted by other posters in this thread (KQo in EP? AQ?) are not generally considered any good, so how can they be overrated? |

controversial reply, but i think with out doubt, the hand that loses people the most money is AA (post-flop obviously) [/ QUOTE ] Ace Ace is overrated. Yes it's the best starting hand. But you'll only get action preflop if you have a loose or aggressive enough image... the value of Ace Ace preflop could be offset somewhat due to negative expectation with playing previous weaker hands. And if you push them hard post flop, well you'll only get action if you're up against two pair or a set or at best something like top pair and nut flush draw. Yikes. I like to think of Ace Ace as a pair on steroids but nothing more. |

Re: Your pick for most overrated NL hand?
With 100x stacks, you have precisely one problem then: you are not raising enough preflop.

What's #1 then? Is it just a sample size issue?
