Re: ATs Flops Top Pair v PFR
I don't really mind this line much. Betting the river is probably better against most players, but the only play I don't like here is check/folding on the end. In big pots you have to be careful of people taking stabs with hands that they somehow got to the river with.

Re: ATs Flops Top Pair v PFR
Flop raise is good to knock out other players with overcards.
MP could be calling with a flush draw or a low pair with an overcard on the turn. Your beat on the river a lot, but the pot is big so calling looks good. |

Re: ATs Flops Top Pair v PFR
I like this just fine, and I c/c the river 100% of the time here. I think in general we cannot be folding in big pots HU for one bet. I think bet/fold is really bad at these limits against an unknown I don't think we can fold to a river raise.
That being said, I think we are likely behind here, and I want 0 or 1 bets going in on the river rather than 1 or 2. And I think it really depends on your read of the opponent. Maybe he will call hands that beat us that he wouldn't bet. Maybe he has a PP that he would call with but wouldn't bet. Maybe he has a draw that missed and will bluff if checked to. So overall without reads it's pretty hard to say how much value we gain or lose by betting or not betting, I just don't like any line here that includes folding. |

MP has Q8s and MHING. Oh well. I feel good about my play.
