correct use of stop and go?
my question is about flop and turn play, but any and all comments are appreciated and encouraged. does anyone like a stop and go against a suspected free card play? i intended to fold if villian raised the turn too. also, since i put villian on a flush draw, would checking to induce a bluff on the river be a better play? thanks

Re: correct use of stop and go?
I probably don't do this enough -- stop the free card play. On the river, I would check/call. You might induce a bluff. Also, with the river pairing the odd flop card, it would be hard to call a raise. If he is on a flush draw, he won't call the bet anyway.
Back to the the stop 'n' go, though. If the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] were instead a J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (an overcard to our pair), should that change the turn line? |

Re: correct use of stop and go?
I like this hand up until the river. With that 2nd 4 I don't really see any hands that he is calling with that you will beat. I don't mind a check-call in case he bluffs with a busted flush draw or gets stupid with his A-hi + 2pair.

perfect. too many bad cards to come on the turn to 3-bet that flop. nice scary river too
