King Yao\'s Weighing the odds short handed section
Was wondering if anyone had read the shorthanded section and what you guys thought? I thought it was pretty good and I picked up a couple of things that I had not thought about. One of which was not calling a raise from the SB, you have to either raise or fold, otherwise you are giving BB pot odds to call about anything. Would love to hear others opinions and if you guys disagree with anything that he wrote.

King Yao's shorthanded section is the best discussion of 6 max poker I've seen in a book. I wish he had written more.

Re: King Yao\'s Weighing the odds short handed section
third review down...
I usually play in cash ring games online but I also have real-life cash ring experience and multi-table tournament experience (vs 80 people). After reading only two thirds of this book and playing in a Freeroll tournament with 900 people and coming second, I felt that I should thank King Yao by reviewing his book. After all, the cash prize has paid for half of the book :-) 2nd place in a 900 person freeroll gets you $9?!?!?!? |

That guy obviously needs to weigh the odds a little more carefully before entering freerolls:P
