ok, 1/2 limit..now what? (poker tracker)
Ok, so I just logged 308 hands in 5.2 hours into Poker Tracker and compiled all the stats yadda yadda yadda.
Now what? How do I use this information to my advantage? I would like to post some stats here for people to critique (if they would) but I'm not sure what they want to see, or the proper format. Thanks in advance, fox |

Re: ok, 1/2 limit..now what? (poker tracker)
308 hands is pretty much useless, VPIP and PFR are about the only stats that will mean much, and that will be very little.
I guess went to showdown and w$sd, too. |

So...log some more PT, or post those mentioned stats?
Sorry to ask so many questions... Cheers, fox |

Re: ok, 1/2 limit..now what? (poker tracker)
10,000 hands is generally considered the lower edge of what is needed to produce meaningful analysis. As ebranig said, your VPIP & PFR will start to firm up before that, but the other stats really do need a decent sample size before they mean anything real.
CallMeIshmael was nice enough to compile some numbers from several winning players at 2/4 & 3/6; the ideal stats at 1/2 will be a little different, but not much. This post should give you an idea of what you're aiming for. And what people tend to look at when analyzing PT stats. Note that these stats are all for full ring games. |
